Computer arrived on time but was not for me.Reviewed by BJK22, 2010-03-07
When I ordered this computer I ordered the wrong size but I tried to reach the seller and they wouldnt email me back so I couldnt return it and got stuck with it. Ive had it since Jan. and so far it freezes up more than any computer Ive ever had and sometimes when I want to go turn it on it wont turn on. The only thing good about it is its light weight and long battery power.
Slow ChoiceReviewed by D. Mark Frankum, 2010-02-28
I returned the Acer-Aspire for a refund because it's performance was slow and sluggish... it had a below-average level of multitasking which was hard to get used to... the other features were all OK and the long battery life was a plus.
All around great productReviewed by S. Daly, 2010-02-21
Starts promptly, excellent screen definition makes it easier to view text and images on the small screen. Highly portable. I use this at work on battery power and get over 6hrs before even worrying about it. Seems to work just as competently as any other computer I've owned.
Excellent alternative Notebook (price vs specs)Reviewed by Mike Schmidt, 2010-02-20
I'm not going to write book here about it - there's already alot of
reviews. However, people always rate their new notebooks high for
the 1st year of ownership. See what the ratings look like after
people have owned it for over a year - that's when all the defects
(if any?) emerge & depreciation takes its toll.
My main reason for buying this was the price $379 + tax. After
about two years I won't be out much and can buy another one. My
last notebook was $1600 then depreciated down to about $50 and
wore-out after two yrs. So, that's not good! Besides liking the
Acer's weight, battery life, Win7, temps, and design - the price
makes it attractive & safe alternative.
Great alternative to a netbook.Reviewed by Luther Leong, 2010-02-18
I liked my netbook, but I LOVE this laptop. The screen is MUCH
larger and the processor is a great deal faster. This laptop
handles streaming and downloaded media very well and is as compact
as a netbook. Battery life is also amazing. The keyboard is nicely
designed and easy to type on. The fact that the laptop includes an
HDMI out port is a great plus. It originally came with Vista Home
Premium, which worked nicely, but I was eligible for the Windows 7
upgrade and I'm amazed at how much I like the new OS.
If you're looking for a small, easy to carry and use laptop to
supplement your home system while you're on the go, BUY THIS ONE!!!
For the price, you can't go wrong with this laptop. You won't
regret it.
