Very good laptop...Reviewed by Victor Talavera, 2010-03-05
This laptop is really great. I mean, if you consider the price, you'll know what I'm talking about. Toshiba is a very reliable brand. No problems with the Wi-fi at all.
Good laptop for the priceReviewed by Working Dad, 2010-02-28
I got this laptop about 1 week ago, and I am generally pleased with
the quality. Everything worked smoothly out of the box, and it's
been working flawlessly with my wireless N D-link router. Toshiba's
functions key controls for hibernating, changing video output, etc
are well designed and intuitive to use.
On the minus side, the speakers are a bit tinny sounding. The video
output is adequate for casual movie viewing, but will not satisfy
someone looking for HD like video. This notebook has integrated
graphics without a discrete video card and would not support high
end games with 3D graphics. I also could not get an older game like
diablo 2 to work. Additionally, Toshiba does note recommend trying
to upgrade the video card (although it's possible), and doing so
would void the warranty.
On a side note, I tried this computer with Toshiba Dynadock and did
not find the speed sufficient for smooth operation. I would not try
to dock this computer, or in general any computer that is not
designed to be docked.
Overall, this is good computer for the price. It will be good for
work and casual video viewing, but do not plan on playing games or
using it for watching high quality video.
Nice LaptopReviewed by A. Hendrickson, 2010-02-25
The screen resolution is kind of insanely bright, but everything else is great with this laptop. No problems connecting to any wireless networks either.
Very satisfied!Reviewed by Letarsha T. Boston, 2010-02-25
I just brought this computer a week ago, and I am very happy with it. The only thing I think that can be improved would be the speakers. They are clear but not really that loud. But I have to say that I did know about this from another review. So yes I would recommend this laptop to anyone I know.
Sadly, don't buy this if you want to use it on a wireless networkReviewed by Stephen McLin, 2010-02-24
My son bought a Toshiba Netbook 2 months ago and loved it --
PCworld rated Toshiba the #1 PC laptop in the issue from a week ago
-- I ordered this machine but it will not connect with my wireless
network -- even though dozens of pc's visiting my home have over
the last couple of years with no problema.
I won't bore you with my agony at Tech support -- but at the end (7
hours off and on later) after reinstalling the NIC (Network
Interface Card) drivers for the 3rd time the tech said --"send it
back to Amazon we have been e-mailing level 3 that there is this
problem"
I love the appearance and ergonomics -- just don't order it if you
want to do wireless internet
